How To Safely Transport & Store Your Cake Before The Big Event
By [HEAD BAKER/FOUNDER NAME]·January 10, 2025·4 min read
The hardest part of cake ordering isn't designing it — it's driving it home! Real butter, mascarpone, and ganache react directly to ambient heat and vehicle motion.
Rule #1: Always place the boxed cake flat on the vehicle floorboard (ideally the passenger footwell where AC flow is coolest), never on an angled car seat or a passenger's lap.
Rule #2: For butter-based cakes, bring the cake out of the refrigerator 30 to 45 minutes before cutting. Cold butter is firm; room temperature butter softens to a luscious, velvety texture.
